The second most populous city in South Africa, Cape Town is located on the shore of Table Bay. By far the most striking and famous of its sights is Table Mountain, frequently shrouded by clouds, and rearing up from the middle of the city. On 11 November 2011 Table Mountain was officially named one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. To add to this Cape Town topped the New York Times prestigious list as the number one place to visit in 2014 and was recently voted The World Design Capital.
Today it is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, reflecting the iconic legacy of the late Nelson Mandela. Its mild climate, geographical beauty, close proximity to a number of different attractions and beautiful beaches has made Cape Town a very popular tourist destination.
The multifaceted city has something to offer everyone. For some it could be the white sandy beaches of Camps Bay; for others the abundant range of African Flora; or the numerous art galleries in Woodstock showcasing the works of up-and-coming artist; or for others a tour along the wine farms discovering phenomenal food along the way; or simply discovering the night life by visiting the numerous bars, clubs and restaurants on Long Street.
